August Newsletter
After a very busy period from May to July running workshops at lots of fun events, Rubbish Revamped is having a little breather now, phew, just enough time to send out an August newsletter to tell you what’s coming up and share some little gifts (see right).
September and October workshopsWatch out, the monkeys are about!
Getting a bit girly in October, with jewellery making. First off the ever-popular Blissed Out with Buttons on 7 October, followed by some nifty paper rolling for Junkmail Jewellery on 21 October when we’ll make a bracelet and either a pair of earrings or a mobile phone charm. Training for trainersDo you run craft activities as part of your job? If so, you’ll know it can sometimes be difficult to come up with new projects, or to find the time to test out new ideas. Many different professional staff have attended Rubbish Revamped workshops – such as occupational therapists, workers supporting people with learning difficulties or mental health problems and youth workers among others. Training sessions can be specially tailored and run for your group. For instance, seven guide leaders ran through a selection of activities to re-run at a summer camp, and September sees a group of occupational therapists coming up from London for a jam-packed two day workshop. A brochure will soon be available listing all potential activities, many of which can also be viewed on the Past Workshops page. Do get in touch if you would like to discuss training for yourself or colleagues.
