You'll learn how to weave a basket from a magazine. The same technique can be used with newspaper and even cardboard.

You'll also make a gift bag from newspaper. You can embellish this with pictures and shapes from junkmail or catalogues. You’ll be amazed at how attractive and strong these items are.

When we break for coffee and cake, there's the added treat of perusing the delights of a 1970s style ‘How to make 150 useful objects from old newspaper' book. Includes sunglasses, an apron and a toilet brush holder – we kid you not.
